Fall 2021 Rehearsals Cancelled
From our director, Parks Payton:
After long consideration, the Justice Choir GR Steering Committee has decided to delay our relaunch of rehearsals in the best interest of the health of our singers and community. With Kent County's community transmission rate as 'High' (per the CDC) we will hold off on singing together until it is safe to resume. I am so so sorry to everyone that was looking forward to resuming our social justice music-making! I was so excited to start making music with you and I am frustrated and sad that we have to delay again. That said, we WILL BE BACK SOON!!! In the meantime, stay safe and healthy, get vaccinated, and continue fighting for liberty and justice for all!
We've postponed all live programming until further notice.
We had hoped to resume rehearsals in 2020 and present our full "Your Vote, Your Voice" concert close to the 2020 General Election, but of course, that became impossible. Here's a clip from our March 9, 2020 rehearsal, of a beloved song from the cancelled program.
From Lissa Schneckenburger's "Hope Lingers On," arranged by Andrea Ramsey: "I will note hate, and I will not fear. In our darkest hour, hope lingers here."
