Hello everyone! The Justice Choir GR leadership team hopes that all of our followers and chorus members are having a great summer!
This post is intended to update you all on the leadership changes we are currently experiencing. We had a fantastic first season with a lot of growth. In our first concert, we had about 14 singers. and at our last concert we had over 30 members. WOW! It is almost unheard of for a group just starting out to gain so many members in the inaugural season.
We gained so much momentum with a huge thanks to our founding director, Claire. She was just married last month and her husband Jared found a new job in Chicago. They will both be moving there next week! We wish them the very best. Claire has plans to start a chapter of Justice Choir in Chicago. We will miss her and all the Obama references!!!
Also, Jane Van Hof, our accompanist this past season, is taking some time away from rehearsals this upcoming season. We thank her for her service and artistry!
Stay tuned this fall as we are receiving some very exciting opportunities for collaboration in and out of our community.
Please also check back with us as we post the leadership team bios. Currently the positions are filled as follows:
Tara Cleveland: Music Director and previous Justice Choir GR singer.
Liz Hudson: Myself (I will be spreading my wings a bit this season, staying on as the primary administrator and first point of contact, serving on the steering committee, and helping with any technical music needs...)
Karen Kennedy: Karen is also one of our founding members in the chorus and will be serving as the leader for our steering committee.
Ashley Bovin: Current alto in the chorus, who will be helping me out tremendously with managing our website and social media outlets, and she also plans to sit on the steering committee.
Thanks so much for a great first season! We welcome any feedback during this time of transition. Please reach out to the leadership team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
